Patricia Aburdene
Patricia Aburdene is one of the world's leading social forecasters. For twenty-five years, she has been tracking how change impacts business. Jeff Mason
Jeff is the Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). In his current role, he leads the MEDC's business development efforts, focusing on national and international attraction, as well as Michigan expansion and retention. In 2008, Jeff and the MEDC team assisted more than 205 companies make over $60 billion in private investment, creating and retaining over 100,000 jobs. In his previous role, he led the MEDC's Technology Development Group, working to grow the technology-oriented segments of the state's economy, with a focus on the life sciences, homeland security, alternative energy, advanced automotive, and manufacturing and material technologies sectors that make up the state's 21st Century Jobs Fund.


Samer Y. Kazziha, M.D.
Dr. Kazziha is the Executive Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Program at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center's Shelton Heart Center. He is regionally recognized for his excellence in both clinical and administrative roles. He has developed cardiovascular programs at several hospitals and most recently served as the Medical Director for Cardiovascular Services at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center's Mat Gaberty Heart Center. Dr. Kazziha is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, the American Board of Interventional Cardiology and the American Board of Endovascular Medicine. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Heartsaver Day Award from the American Heart Association and awards from the National Institute of Health and the American Medical Association.

  Mary Zuckerman is the executive vice president and chief of business operations for the Detroit Medical Center. Ms. Zuckerman joined the DMC in January 2004 as part of the new administrative team responsible for turning around the health system. As Chief of Business Operations, she oversees all aspects of the hospital operations of the eight affiliate hospitals. She is also responsible for the corporate support functions of health information management, revenue cycle, construction and real estate, dietary services, the Chief Nursing Office, and certificate of need activities. Prior to joining the DMC, she spent ten years with Wayne County. During her tenure, she held various executive level positions, including deputy county executive during her last two years.
